Mosaic Tiles: Foundations of Hessam

Hessam Abrishami's use of Tiles in his compositions originates from the Middle Eastern city streets of Shiraz, Iran that he walked upon every day during his youth. Every step he took across the ceramic tiles is analogous to the rites of passage we all undergo into our young adult life. Moreover, these tiles represent the building blocks of the bridge that connects his past to our universal future.
